A new Young Embroiderers' Folio has been created. The Guild is delighted to announce the creation of an inspiring new folio for Young Embroiderers (Junior Embroiderers and Textile Students).

The historical and cultural scope of The Embroiderer, debut novel by Kathryn Gauci, makes this book an important and compelling read. This book would be very good for a young person, new to embroidery, because it covers the fundamentals like ways to transfer a pattern, the use of stabilizers, and basic stitches, but it also offers creative ideas for a more experienced embroiderer/5(38).

The Embroiderer's Handbook was just what I was looking for. It's nearly the perfect reference book. It has fabulously detailed step-by-step stitch directions, far superior to the ones in The Embroidery Stitch Bible and Mary Thomas' Dictionary of Embroidery/5(82).
